Bought ElkNut before 2022? Claim your Founder access
If you owned the original one-time-purchase ElkNut, what you bought stays yours for good. Here is how to claim Founder access in the app, what it includes, and what to do if the automatic check cannot confirm you.
ElkNut was a one-time purchase from 2017 until it moved to a subscription in August 2022. If you bought it in that era, you are a Founder, and we mean that as a thank-you rather than a label: everything that was in the app when you bought it stays yours, with no subscription and nothing to renew.
What Founder access includes
The original library — every call, sequence and tactic the original app shipped with, including the ones that later moved behind the paywall — plus a Founder badge and ring on your profile picture, in the app header and on the Account page.
PRO is everything we have built since the switch: the newer sequences and tactics, unlimited AI Call Coach scoring, Apple TV, offline maps and the PRO field tools. A Founder who subscribes is a Founder Pro — same subscription as everyone, and a star on your badge that says you were here first and you kept it going.
Already on for many accounts
If we could confirm from the App Store receipt or our purchase-service records that you were on the original app, we switched Founder access on without making you ask. Look for the ring around your profile picture in the app header. If it’s there, there is nothing to claim.
Already subscribed?
Then you’re a Founder Pro, and the only thing that changes is the star on your ring. Your subscription and everything it unlocks stay exactly as they were. If you ever pause it, you keep Founder access — you never drop to Free.
How the check works
The app only mentions Founder to an account it can actually recognize. When you open Account it quietly checks two things:
- The App Store receipt. Apple records when your Apple ID first downloaded the app. If that was before the switch, you are in — even on a brand-new phone or a brand-new ElkNut account, because the receipt follows your Apple ID.
- Our own history. The original app talked to the same purchase service we use today, so many old installs are on record from 2020–2021.
If either matches, you’ll see You owned the original ElkNut on the Account page, and one tap turns it on. If neither matches, nothing appears — and that doesn’t mean no. Send us your receipt and a person will set it up.
Don’t see the button yet?
The claim button arrives with the 4.1.0 update. If your app doesn’t have it yet, write to us — we’ll put 90 days of full PRO on your account right away (AI Coach included), and it converts to Founder automatically once you update. You don’t need to do anything else.
On Android
Google Play does not tell developers who bought an app back when it was paid, so on Android the automatic check can only use our own purchase-service history. If it doesn’t recognize you, the fastest thing is your Google Play receipt email — search your inbox for “Your Google Play Order Receipt” from 2017–2022 and forward it, or send a screenshot of the order from Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history. Reply in Account → Help & Feedback and we will unlock you.
“I tried Restore Purchases and nothing happened”
That is expected, and it is not you. Restore Purchases finds in-app subscriptions. The original ElkNut was a paid app, not an in-app purchase, so there is nothing for Restore to find. Use the Founder claim above instead.
