About ElkNut

ElkNut helps hunters learn to communicate with elk. From your first cow mew to an aggressive challenge bugle, the app breaks calling down into sounds you can study, tactics you can follow, and drills you can practice — anywhere, even with no signal.

Built for the mountains, ElkNut pairs a deep library of calls and tactics with field tools like a calling-cadence trainer, a pack-out calculator, a harvest log, and a rut calendar — so the knowledge you build at home pays off in the elk woods.

ElkNut is part of the Game Tech family of hunting apps and ships on both the App Store and Google Play.

Paul Medel — “The ElkNut”

The app is built around Paul Medel, better known as The ElkNut — three decades of decoding elk vocalization on public-land, do-it-yourself hunts. Every call, sequence, and tactic in ElkNut comes from his methodology, taught the way a mentor would: not just how to make a sound, but when to use it and why it works.

You’ll see and hear Paul throughout the app’s video breakdowns and reference calls. In the app, his full story lives on the Meet the Pro screen.
