Is ElkNut free?

Yes — ElkNut is free to download and start. A big set of calls, tactics, and field tools are free forever. Going PRO unlocks the full premium library, the AI Call Coach, advanced field tools, and offline maps, and starts with a 7-day free trial.

Which devices does it run on?

ElkNut is available for iPhone on the App Store and for Android on Google Play. Your recordings, favorites, and tool data sync to your account across devices.

Does it work without a signal?

Yes. Your favorites and browsed content are cached for offline use, and PRO members can bulk-download call audio, video, and map tiles before heading into the backcountry — plus offline GPS tracks and pins.

What is the AI Call Coach?

The AI Call Coach listens to a call you have practiced and scores it 0–100 on pitch, cadence, realism, and tone, with specific tips to sound more like a real elk. It is a PRO feature, currently in beta and opened to members one at a time.

Can I practice my own calling?

Yes — Practice mode is free. Record yourself on any call you can open, play it back on the waveform, and compare it against the real animal. You can also share your recordings.

How do I go PRO, and how much is it?

You can subscribe inside the app through the App Store or Google Play, or on the web from our Pricing page. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial that unlocks the full app. See the Pricing page for current rates.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions purchased in the app are billed and managed by the App Store or Google Play, so you cancel them there (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS; Play Store → Subscriptions on Android). Web subscriptions are managed from your account.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Sign in with the same account, open the Upgrade page in the app, and tap Restore Purchases.

How do I delete my account?

The fastest way is in the app: Account → Settings → Delete account. Your profile and data are removed after a 30-day grace period. If you cannot open the app, use the Delete account page on this site to submit a verified request. Store subscriptions are separate and must be cancelled in the store.

Is my practice audio used to train the AI?

Only if you opt in. In Settings you can allow de-identified practice clips to help improve the AI Call Coach; it is off by default, and the clips are stripped of any link back to your account.
